We are structuring Hoos' List after the system of record, the Student Information System (SIS). There is work underway to better map interdisciplinary programs to schools, which will reflect in Hoos' List.
Hoos' List data comes from the Student Information System (SIS). SIS and Stellic are official UVA resources for course planning and registration.
Buildings and room locations are hidden from public view on Hoos' List for safety reasons. This mirrors the public view of the Student Information System (SIS). Locations of classes can be viewed by logging in where indicated.
Hoo's List has two different update schedules:
- Course Data is updated once a day
- Enrollment data is updated approximately every 30 minutes
- Inclusion of waitlist data
- Changing instructor name from legal name in SIS to preferred name in SIS
- Not all enrollment requirements in the catalogue are currently pulling into Hoos List
- Combined section actuals and capacity are not always accurate.
